    Terms of Service

    1. Introduction

    These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the K9Wash website (k9wash.com), including the directory, search and map, vendor microsites, community submissions, K9Bud and K9Bud+ memberships, dog care reminders, the trip planner with offline maps, the installable app, gift cards and the K9Wash-branded self-service dog wash hubs (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

    K9Wash is operated from Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, and provides an independent directory of self-service dog wash locations across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

    2. Eligibility

    You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services and at least 18 years old to create a vendor account, subscribe to K9Bud+ or a vendor Premium plan, or make a booking at a K9Wash Hub. By using our Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

    3. Directory and Listings

    • K9Wash aggregates self-service dog wash locations from operator submissions, community submissions and public sources. We are not the operator of third-party locations listed in the directory.
    • Opening hours, prices, amenities and other listing details are provided as a guide. Confirm with the operator before travelling, especially for bank holidays and one-off closures.
    • We may edit, unpublish or remove any listing at our discretion, including for inaccuracy, abuse or a valid takedown request.
    • Reviews, photos, ratings and messages you submit about a third-party location must be honest, lawful and your own content.

    4. Account Registration

    • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
    • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
    • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
    • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

    5. Vendor Accounts, Claims and Microsites

    • Business owners may claim an existing listing or add a new one. Claims are reviewed and may require proof of ownership.
    • By claiming or listing a location you confirm you are authorised to represent that business and that the information provided is accurate.
    • You grant K9Wash a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for responsive layout and promote your listing content on k9wash.com and any K9Wash channels.
    • You are responsible for the content of your microsite, including images, copy, prices, opening hours and vendor-to-customer replies.
    • We may unpublish or remove a microsite that breaches these Terms, infringes third-party rights or brings the platform into disrepute.

    6. Vendor Premium and Custom Domains

    • Premium plans unlock the premium microsite template, removal of K9Wash branding, custom domain forwarding and additional editor tools.
    • Premium subscriptions are billed via Stripe on the cycle chosen at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled.
    • Custom domains require TXT verification. K9Wash forwards a verified custom domain to your microsite; you remain responsible for the domain registration and DNS.
    • If your Premium plan lapses, the microsite reverts to the free template and any custom domain forwarding is disabled.

    7. K9Wash Hub Bookings

    • Bookings at K9Wash-operated hubs are subject to availability and confirmation.
    • You are responsible for arriving at your booked time. Missed bookings may not be refunded.
    • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
    • Service prices are displayed on the website and may be updated from time to time.
    • K9Bud+ members receive discounted pricing and priority booking as described on the K9Bud page.

    8. K9Bud Accounts

    • K9Bud is the free K9Wash account layer. It lets you save favourite washes, add dog profiles, leave reviews, report inaccurate listings and receive wash reminders.
    • You can sign in with email or with Google. Signing in with Google is subject to Google's own terms.
    • Core directory content, including search, maps and location pages, is always readable without an account. Some result details and saved-place features require a free K9Bud account.

    9. K9Bud+ Membership, Trial and Billing

    • K9Bud+ is the paid membership tier. Plans include Founding Monthly (£2.99 per month), Founding Annual (£23.99 per year) and Lifetime Founder (£49.99 one-off). Founding prices are held while your subscription remains active and uncancelled.
    • Payments are processed by Stripe. K9Wash does not store your card details.
    • Recurring plans include a 3-day free trial, limited to one trial per person. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan starts automatically and the plan price is charged. The Lifetime plan is a one-off payment and carries no trial.
    • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
    • Lifetime Founder access is tied to your K9Bud account, is non-transferable and does not guarantee that any individual feature will remain unchanged.
    • Statutory consumer cancellation and refund rights in the UK, Ireland and the EU apply. Where you ask us to start digital access immediately, your 14-day withdrawal right may be reduced accordingly.
    • K9Bud+ benefits include coat care planning, wash reminders, partner discount codes, trip planning with offline maps and feature voting. We may add, change or retire individual benefits with reasonable notice.

    10. Dog Profiles, Reminders and Care Guidance

    • Dog profiles, coat care calendars and wash reminders are generated from the breed, coat and wash history details you enter. Accuracy depends on the information you provide.
    • Care guidance, suggested wash frequency and grooming schedules are general information only. They are not veterinary advice and must not be relied on in place of a vet or professional groomer.
    • Reminder and suggestion emails are part of the service you sign up for. Marketing emails are separate and only sent with your explicit opt-in, which you can withdraw at any time.
    • We cannot guarantee delivery timing of any reminder email or notification.

    11. Trip Planner and Offline Maps

    • The K9Bud+ trip planner produces suggested routes and stop orders between listed washes. Routes are indicative only and are not navigation or road-safety instructions.
    • Offline map data and cached listings are stored on your device for personal, non-commercial use. Cached data may be out of date, and bulk export or redistribution of map tiles or listing data is not permitted.
    • Location and compass features depend on your device and browser permissions and may be unavailable or inaccurate. Never rely on them as your only means of navigation.
    • Always follow local traffic laws and do not interact with the app while driving.

    12. Installable App (PWA)

    K9Wash can be installed to your device as a progressive web app. The installed app is the same service as the website and is covered by these Terms. Offline functionality is limited to data previously cached on your device.

    13. Gift Cards

    • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
    • Gift cards are valid for use towards K9Wash-operated services only.
    • We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift card codes.

    14. Community Submissions, Reviews and User Content

    When you submit dog wash locations, photos, dog images, reviews, reports, feature votes or other content:

    • You confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit it.
    • You grant K9Wash a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, adapt and share the submitted content in connection with the Services.
    • Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experience. Incentivised, fake or competitor-damaging reviews will be removed.
    • Feature votes and roadmap suggestions are advisory. We are not obliged to build any voted feature and do not publish your identity alongside your vote.
    • We reserve the right to review, edit, moderate or remove submissions at our discretion.

    15. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Use our Services for any unlawful purpose.
    • Submit false, misleading, defamatory or harmful content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
    • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or to other users' accounts.
    • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our Services.
    • Use automated tools, scrapers or bots to extract data from the site, the map, the location APIs or offline caches.
    • Share, resell or transfer a K9Bud+ membership, or abuse the free trial by creating multiple accounts.
    • Impersonate any person or business, including claiming a listing you do not own.

    16. Use of Dog Wash Facilities

    • You use any self-service dog wash facility, whether operated by K9Wash or a third party listed in the directory, at your own risk.
    • You are responsible for supervising your dog at all times while using the facilities.
    • You must follow all posted instructions and safety guidelines at the wash location.
    • You are liable for any damage caused to equipment through misuse or negligence.
    • K9Wash is not liable for the acts, omissions, equipment condition or service quality of third-party operators listed in the directory.
    • K9Wash is not liable for any injury to you, your dog, or third parties arising from use of any facility.

    17. Partners and Third-Party Offers

    K9Wash promotes partner brands such as Home of Blu and My Pooch. Discount codes and referral links are offered by the partner, not by K9Wash, and some codes are shown only to K9Bud+ members. Purchases made from a partner are governed by that partner's own terms and privacy policy. K9Wash is not a party to any transaction between you and a partner and is not responsible for products, delivery or after-sales support supplied by the partner.

    18. Intellectual Property

    All content on the K9Wash website, including text, graphics, logos, K9Wash-branded pins and iconography, and software, is owned by or licensed to K9Wash and is protected by UK, Irish and EU intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our written consent, except for content you have submitted yourself.

    19. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    • K9Wash provides the Services "as is" without warranties of any kind.
    • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
    • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to K9Wash for the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100 if no amount was paid.

    Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you are a consumer in the UK, Ireland or the EU, your statutory rights are not affected.

    20. Privacy

    Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data.

    21. Changes to Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

    22. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
